Speech/language pathologists work with students who cannot produce speech sounds or cannot produce them clearly, those with fluency problems, voice disorders, problems understanding and producing language, as well as, those with cognitive communication impairments, such as attention, memory and problem solving disorders.

Speech/Language pathologists collaborate with teachers, special educators and other school personnel to implement individual programs and support classroom activities.

Speech and language therapy services are provided to students who have speech and/or language needs that limit their ability to communicate and/or interfere with their acquisition and retention of academic skills.
