District 34, Glenview Park District Forge New Partnership

Glenview District 34 and the Glenview Park District have formed a new partnership that will result in the park district taking over summer school enrichment offerings. The two organizations are hopeful this partnership will retain an important opportunity to Glenview families while allowing the schools to focus on the review and remediation portion of its summer school program.

"By eliminating this portion of the program, we expect to see financial savings while focusing our efforts on review and reinforcement offerings," said Superintendent Dr. Dane Delli. "We are grateful to the park district for being a partner with us in this process to ensure our families continue to have access to meaningful summer programming that will continue to be taught by our experienced educators."

"The Glenview Park District has worked closely with School District 34 for over 70 years. We see our partnership with the School District as a centerpiece to what makes Glenview a wonderful place to live, work and play," said Park District Executive Director Michael McCarty. "This new partnership once again exemplifies our mutual values and our approach to utilizing our strengths for the good of the entire community.  As with any program and service we provide, we will deliver a first class program that families have come to enjoy with the top notch educators from your School District."

Program offerings are in the process of becoming finalized. Those interested in having their children participate, should visit www.glenviewparks.org on March 1 for registration information. The summer enrichment program will be held at Attea Middle School.
